What better way to kick off Adenomyosis Awareness Month than with the incredibly strong Jess Woolley, founder of @jesshasadeno and adenomyosis advocate. Jess started her instagram account in 2018 after finally being diagnosed with adenomyosis, after years of wondering what was wrong with her body. She has cultivated a following for speaking openly about her experiences with not only adenomyosis, but also mental health. Jess wants the lack of awareness for adeno to end, and for more people to be speaking openly about the condition.

Today's chat is with the super knowledgeable Christie Lee Austin-Hore! Christie is an Accredited Practising Dietitian based in Perth, WA who specialises in endometriosis. Christie is passionate about helping all endo warriors reduce the amount of surgery and medication they require to manage flare-ups of endo pain, bloating, alternating bowel habits and fatigue as well as future-proofing their fertility.

Nicknamed ‘The Pad Lady’, Rochelle is a woman on a mission to end period poverty, and break the silence and stigma that surrounds women and periods in Australia and globally. She’s the Founder and Managing Director of Share the Dignity, a charity she started single-handedly in 2015 when she discovered that women in need in Australia had no access to period products during their menstrual cycle.

Dr Fleming is a proud founding member of Grace Private, the only specialist medical and allied health practice for integrated women’s healthcare located at the Gold Coast Private Hospital, Southport.

This week Isabella sat down with the effervescent Bridget Hustwaite! You might know bridge from her incredibly popular show Goodnights on Triple J or through her instagram account @endogram. Bridget was diagnosed with endo in 2018, following a 12 year journey to diagnosis. Following this diagnosis, in 2019 she launched @endogram and with over 26 k followers at time of recording, Bridget has cultivated a community from her honesty and vulnerability. It was from this that Bridget started her newest project, How to Endo, a guide to surviving and thriving with endometriosis. How to endo blends bridge’s own personal experiences with endo as well as tips and strategies from Australian Health Experts.
Let’s Talk with Katie Norburry
This week Isabella sat down with the amazing Katie Norbury, founder of Get Papped! Get Papped is a project which aims to rid the stigma around female health- in particular, pap smears/cervical screenings. Katie has created 25th birthday cards with a pledge inside promising that you’ll hold your loved one accountable to book their pap smear within the next month. The project was created after Katie received an abnormal pap smear result and didn't know what to expect or how to talk about it without shame.
